Oh Lovely Pizza!

Today I went to Pizza Studio with my family. This is an awesome chain restaurant and although I usually don't like chains, Pizza Studio is amazing! Why am I writing about pizza? Well, it is a food that I am starting to enjoy again as I had to give it up along with a bunch of other foods when I was very ill. Anything with gluten just used to put me over the top- making me gassy, bloated, and giving me a huge belly and equally huge belly ache. Doctors told me I was gluten sensitive, leaky gut, irritable bowel, etc. As I started to get better, my food intolerance subsided and now I can eat anything I want again. Still, I am careful about what I eat as I believe it is related to maintaining a system that is strong and can fight off early illness. So- here is what I recommend if you go to Pizza Studio: A flax seed dough which comes thin. Goat cheese crumbles, pesto sauce, olives, all veggies that are offered! Yum! Oh thank you for the little joys in life!

A Second Chance: How I Beat Chronic Lyme Disease is now published and available for sale for $6.99 on Amazon.com
Description: Lyme disease is a formidable foe. And after three years of trying every treatment she could find to cure it, from the doctor-approved methods to alternative approaches, Rachel Dario was depleted, disheartened, and ready to give up. Her mother had been prodding her for weeks to e-mail a friend of a friend who had been supposedly cured of chronic Lyme, but Dario dragged her feet. Finally, in a moment of desperation, she typed up a halfhearted e-mail to a stranger and hit “send.” This was the beginning of her journey of recovery. A must-read for anyone suffering with Lyme disease, coinfections, chronic fatigue, or any mysterious illness, A Second Chance is an inspiringly raw memoir describing how Dario overcame chronic Lyme with a surprising device that isn’t approved by the FDA. She clearly acknowledges that she is not a trained medical professional, but the proof may be in the pudding; she has survived one of today’s most baffling illnesses—and hopes that her story might encourage others afflicted with chronic ailments to find their own solutions as well. Don’t give up! Sometimes the answer you’re looking for is closer than you think.
